Tracking the Teacher Pipeline: New Evidence on AAT Pathways and Certification Outcomes
Join us for a first look at new research examining how students progress from Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) programs into the educator workforce across Texas.
Using statewide administrative data spanning 2012–2023, this study tracks AAT majors through every stage of the teacher pipeline—from degree completion and transfer to educator preparation program (EPP) enrollment, certification, and entry into teaching.
This session will explore key questions, including:
How do AAT students move through the teacher preparation pipeline?
Where are the most significant drop-off points?
What factors predict success at each stage?
Do specific courses improve certification outcomes?
This webinar is ideal for community colleges, EPPs, state leaders, and partners working to build more effective, data-driven teacher preparation pathways.
