As a result of this commitment and mission, UHD joined the US PREP coalition and began the process of transforming their teacher preparation program pathways to a yearlong teacher residency. They have been working to create robust yearlong clinical experiences that include highly effective mentor teachers, university-based Site Coordinators, high-quality observation & coaching cycles, and district governance. They have also worked to improve data practices to support informed decision-making for candidates and partnerships alike. The UHD team is championing high-quality preparation through their actions.
