Learning Tour Objectives:
- Develop an understanding of the teacher preparation program work at the Sam Houston State University
- Experience various aspects of the transformed teacher preparation models to include yearlong clinical teaching experiences, partnership/governance meetings, improvements to coursework and instruction, and redesigning college of education roles and responsibilities to ensure all candidates are receiving high-quality training
- Develop an understanding of the strategic staffing initiatives and how districts reallocated funds to support resident stipends

- 10 min: Orientation to the school
- 20 minute: Preview the highlights of the district partnership (e.g. student perception survey, OCR, etc.)
- 20 minutes: Walkthrough 3 classrooms (5 min each)
- 30 minute: Debrief walkthroughs
