Jessica Pussman


Prior to joining US PREP, Jessica served as Lead Site Coordinator and Clinical Faculty at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she supervised teacher candidates, facilitated governance structures, and designed professional learning for mentors and district partners. She has also held roles such as a district instructional coach, a middle school mathematics teacher, an adjunct faculty member for two Universities, and a presenter at state and national conferences, contributing to the field in areas such as strategic staffing, residency pathways, and high‑quality instructional materials.

Jessica brings more than two decades of experience as an educator, instructional coach, faculty member, and university–district partnership leader. Her work centers on developing mentor teachers and site coordinators, supporting teacher candidates through data‑driven coaching, and advancing sustainable systems for educator preparation.

Jessica holds a Master of Education as an Instructional Specialist in Mathematics from the University of Texas at El Paso and is recognized for her collaborative leadership, commitment to equity‑centered preparation, and dedication to strengthening the educator workforce.

She resides in El Paso, Texas, with her husband, three sons, and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, walking, and taking in the beauty of the desert sunrises and sunsets.
