    Trenice West-Raymond

    Dr. Trenice West-Raymond is a Regional Transformation Specialist (RTS). As an RTS, Trenice works alongside universities and their district partners to support every aspect of transformation. She provides virtual and on-the-ground support to school-university leaders in strategic planning, piloting, collecting, and analyzing data for program improvement. Trenice is an advocate of equitable education for historically disenfranchised students.
     
    Before joining the US PREP team, Trenice began her twenty-five plus years of service in urban education as an elementary teacher in Brooklyn, New York. She eventually became a Staff Developer in Literacy, which led to her accepting the role of a Regional Teacher Center Facilitator. Trenice continued to support teachers in building their instructional capacity in Literacy for several years before she relocated to Houston TX and accepted a Principal position. While pursuing her Doctorate degree, she returned to her passion in supporting teacher development in effective instructional practices as a Teacher Development Specialist for Houston Independent School District. Upon receiving her Doctorate degree, Trenice accepted a position in Leadership Development with Houston Independent School District. As a Program Manager, she designed, delivered, managed, and evaluated programming for leadership development in the district.

    Trenice earned a Master of Education from Cambridge College, a Master of Science degree in Education Administration and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the University Houston.

    Trenice currently resides Manvel TX, with her husband and children. She enjoys spending time with her daughters, having a fantastic evening exploring local venues, and traveling with friends and family.
