Sarah Beal

Dr. Sarah Beal became the Executive Director of the US PREP National Center in 2015. US PREP is a national center dedicated to collaborating with colleges of education with the goal of deepening partnerships with schools and driving innovation to prepare highly effective teachers who are ready to meet the needs of their students. Her passion about ensuring all students, especially our students who have been historically underserved, fuels her work.

Prior to joining US PREP, Sarah served as an administrator and Elementary Education Program Coordinator at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. Sarah also served as a classroom teacher and instructional coach for ten years in an urban school district in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Sarah holds the Doctor of Education degree in Leadership and Innovation and Master of Educational Mathematics degree from Arizona State University, and Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California.

Sarah and her husband Cory have two teenagers, Max and Addison. Sarah is the Committee Chair for Young Life and also serves as a trustee on her church board. For the past ten years, Sarah and Cory have been marriage mentors where they get to partner alongside struggling marriages. In her free time, Sarah and her family enjoy traveling and spending time with their two doodles Zoey and Jackson.
