    Josephine Juarez

    Dr. Josephine Juarez is a Regional Transformation Specialist focusing on strategic staffing initiatives to support teacher residencies in partnership with universities and K-12 school districts. In this role, she facilitates planning and implementation of redesigned teacher preparation support systems to ensure that students are provided with outstanding novice teachers. Her responsibilities include virtual and on-the-ground support, co-planning and delivering professional development, and progress monitoring of strategic staffing efforts. 

    Prior to joining US PREP, Josephine began her 23 years in education as an elementary classroom teacher. Her success in the classroom led her to many other roles, including Secondary Math Teacher, Campus Instructional Coordinator, Instructional Coach, Secondary Mathematics Seminar Leader, Academic Dean, Vice-Principal, and Principal. 

    Josephine holds a Doctor of Education degree with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Educational Administration and Supervision degree from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Mathematics from St. Mary’s University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. She is passionate about applying her personal and professional learning to continuously improve educational systems to promote accessibility to a high-quality education for all students. 

    Josephine continues to live in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with her family engaging in service projects around the San Antonio community, volunteering to help with her children’s extra-curricular activities, and quiet evenings at home as a family.
