    Crystal Floyd

    Crystal Floyd is a Strategic Staffing Regional Transformation Specialist. In this role, Crystal partners with universities and PK-12 school districts to support the design and implementation of sustainable year-long, paid teacher residency programs.

    Crystal earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at El Paso.

    Prior to joining US PREP, Crystal served as a classroom teacher, Varsity cheer coach, College and Career Readiness Coordinator, Assistant Principal and Assistant Director of Teacher Talent Development in El Paso, Texas. As a District Leader, Crystal was a catalyst in establishing a partnership with The University of Texas at El Paso to expand a teacher preparation program that began as a community partnership, transforming it to a sustainably funded residency program that reached high need schools in the district.

    Her passion for education stems from her father instilling in her that, “education is the key necessary to open the doors of opportunity”. Crystal is committed to being a change agent that works to empower and provide access to equitable education for historically disenfranchised and underserved communities.

    Crystal currently resides in Allen, Texas and is the proud wife of a United States Marine and mother of two incredible daughters. She enjoys traveling, writing, dancing, sporting events, and live music.
