    Ashley Harris

    Ashley Harris is a Regional Transformation Support Specialist. In this role, Ashley works alongside university leadership teams and their school district partners to support the work of transforming teacher preparation programs. Her responsibilities include virtual and on-the-ground support, co-planning and delivering professional development, and progress monitoring transformation plans to make certain goals are met. Ashley believes in elevating the voices of PK-12 students and Teacher Candidates so they are at the center of their educational experience.
     
    Ashley has served in several roles in her 20 years as an educator. After teaching both elementary and middle school, Ashley spent many years focused on instructional coaching, most notably serving as the Director of Instructional Coaching for a teacher development program that served four school districts. She has also served as a school-based administrator and district-level administrator.

    Ashley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Plan II Honors and a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from The University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Houston.

    Ashley lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and family. She enjoys arts and crafts with her daughters, trying new restaurants, going to musicals and dance performances, and serving as a sign language interpreter at her church.
